2nd Annual Wine Social

The Westlake Golf & Country Club at Smith Mountain Lake
It is with great excitement that we announce the 2nd Annual Wine Social will be held at The Westlake Golf & Country Club on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 5:00 PM. The theme this year will be "Wines of the Old World" featuring wines from Italy and France.
Keith Overstreet from Blue Ridge Beverage will be on hand to discuss the wines and the wine growing regions. There will be plenty of hors d'oeuvres matching the theme and all attendees will receive an 8 oz. VT etched wine glass. There will be time to mingle with old Hokie friends and to make some new ones. The chapter will also be announcing the 2008 scholarship recipients. This year there will be two scholarships awarded.
The 2007 Wine Social was a big success with 65 people in attendance and the event raised enough money for one scholarship. Bring some of your friends and let's make this year's event even more successful!!
Stay after the social for dinner at The Westlake. Chef Rosie has prepared a special menu which includes flounder stuffed with crab, slow roasted prime rib and chicken breast topped with shrimp & scallops just for this event for $18.95 plus tax and gratuity.
